TRUE MATT
DESCRIPTION Fast drying, fabulously flat and environmentally friendly, Zoffany True Matt is a water based emulsion that combines irresistible chalky looks with a wipeable finish. Perfect for walls and ceilings, this transformative paint is quick drying, enveloping interiors in Zoffany’s signature style. Visible brush strokes and cutting in are reduced and intense pigments provide an incredible depth of colour.
KEY PROPERTIES • Dries flat in two hours, leaving a luxurious, high performance finish • Wipeable and environmentally friendly • Excellent scrub resistance and good resistance to marring for its sheen level • Ideal for high traffic areas such as hallways and kitchens
PREPARATION All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down sound glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of a water/acrylic primer undercoat. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead. Prime base surfaces with an appropriate primer. APPLICATION Stir well before use and apply by brush or roller. When using a roller, use a medium pile synthetic type. Do not overfill the tray. Ensure roller is loaded evenly. If using a brush, load generously. Apply liberally and evenly; avoid overspreading.
CLEANING Remove as much product as possible from equipment before cleaning. Clean immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Replace lid firmly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty waste paint into drains or watercourses.
HEALTH & SAFETY • Contains a reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin3-one [EC no. 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one [EC no. 220-239-6] (3:1), 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. • IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water.
